Dr. Steve Rad, MD, FACOG is an expert specialist in OBGYN/Maternal & Fetal Medicine. Dr. Martin Bastuba M.D. F.A.C.S. is a board-certified male fertility specialist who was among the first to be accepted into the prestigious combined fellowship program for male infertility and sexual dysfunction at Boston University School of Medicine. Only 2% of urologists nationwide are trained experts in these highly specialized medical treatments.
Over 25 years ago, Dr. Bastuba founded Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists (MFS) to help patients in need of treatment for male infertility, urological disorders and male sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Bastuba is the only board-certified urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who offers these services in San Diego. Dr. Adams is our Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) Scientific Director. She was born and raised in Great Britain and received her Ph.D. in Mammalian Embryology from one of the leading educational institutions in the world, Cambridge University (England). She has been working in multiple IVF laboratories for many years.
Dr. Adams was among the first to do many IVF laboratory procedures, including performing one of the first successful frozen embryo transfers in the U.S. in 1986. With more than 30 years of experience, she remains active in the IVF laboratory and personally performs or oversees virtually all complicated laboratory procedures. We are extremely pleased to have such an accomplished and renowned scientist direct our IVF laboratories.
Dr. Ari Baratz has been dedicated to women’s health and reproductive medicine for over 15 years. He is one of a select few physicians in Canada with the accreditation and the advanced level of training required for the care of people dealing with infertility and recurrent miscarriages.
Dr. Baratz attended McGill University for his Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology (BSc) and the University of Western Ontario for his Medical Degree (MD) where he was recognized with distinction and for outstanding performance in obstetrics & gynecology. After completing his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at the University of Toronto (FRCSC), Dr. Baratz was designated by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada with a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Baratz is an active member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Canada, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Baratz is an Executive Board member for Women’s College Hospital, Medical Staff Association, the Women’s College Hospital Alternate Funding Plan, and is Chair for the Ontario Medical Association Reproductive Biology Section.
Dr. Beshay joined the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. His role as an assistant professor of endocrinology and infertility was mainly clinical work, as well as teaching fellows, residents and medical students. His ultimate goal was to help couples seeking fertility assistance, from their initial evaluation processes through every potential infertility treatment.As a board-certified physician in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, as well as obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Beshay has been practicing medicine for nearly 10 years. After graduating from East Carolina University School of Medicine, Dr. Beshay moved to Dallas to pursue training in obstetrics and gynecology. Following residency training in OB/GYN in 2005, he completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Molly Chen-Chu is our Assistant IVF Laboratory Director. She completed her laboratory education with a Master of Science from Taipei Medical University and subsequently received a Master of Health Administration (M.H.A.) from the prestigious program at the University of Southern California (USC). She has over 20 years of experience in IVF from programs in Taiwan, Singapore, and in the United States.
Molly has outstanding skills in all areas of the assisted reproductive technologies and is renowned particularly in the areas of egg freezing and mini-IVF.
